What permits do I need?

NO CAMPING OR OVERNIGHT PARKING PARKING/DAY USE: ONE PERMIT PER VEHICLE. VALID ONLY AROUND LAKE ESTES PARKING AREAS UNTIL MIDNIGHT Parking areas around Lake Estes are managed by Estes Valley Recreation & Park District in partnership with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. Fee parking areas include Cherokee Draw (along Highway 36), The Marina (along Highway 34), and Wapiti Meadows (off Mall Rd., below Mt. Olympus Dam). All vehicles are required to pay a $5.00 use fee for parking and recreating around the lake. One permit is valid at all fee parking areas around the lake. WATERCRAFT/LAKE USE: ONE PERMIT PER CRAFT. VALID ONLY ON LAKE ESTES UNTIL MIDNIGHT Whether fishing, paddling or a leisurely cruise out on the water, a $5.00 lake use fee is required for each watercraft, regardless of type. Although watercraft that are "hand launched & human powered" are exempt from ANS inspections, a fee for each item is required prior to recreating on the lake. LIVE IN ESTES PARK OR VISIT FREQUENTLY? ANNUAL RESIDENT AND NON-RESIDENT VEHICLE AND BOAT PERMITS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT THE MARINA STORE.
